You need Which French Words . . . . now !
This product enables French speaking by giving confidence
and certainty. By listening and reading, without effort or hard work,
the corner stones of the language are absorbed. It works both for adults
and for students studying and revising for exams.
So how does the product work?
We recommend the pack is used in the following way:
1. Choose a subject heading from the supplied A4 sheets
2. Listen to the CD track, as often as you wish
3. Read the French words as you listen
4. Listen to the CD track again
5. Then read the English as you hear the French
It is based on repetition and absorption. What happens is that by listening
repeatedly to the group of words the sounds become familiar and are effectively
learnt, absorbed. By then listening whilst reading, in French, the visual association
is formed and the spelling is learnt, absorbed. Then the English equivalent
is attached to the French sound and visual representation. This means that
the French words are learnt first, their meanings second so that when they
are used you will be speaking the language, not translating as you go. This
is a method that gives confidence and certainty; with the corner stones embedded
they can be used and with usage the structure of the language can flow.
Working with French verbs...
French verbs can cause problems for English speakers so we have taken a radical
approach.
1. For verbs start by looking at the supplied printed sheets.
2. As you look you will begin to see patterns emerging.
3. The layout we have adopted is designed to show the patterns and similarities
between verbs.
4. As you begin to become familiar with the visual representation you can listen
to the verbs.
5. Here again use repetition of sound and you will absorb the meaning.
